Jessie was one of the first staff members to help co-found the Peer City Convening back in 2018. 

 

She is passionate about advancing housing solutions to increase affordability and equity in major Canadian cities. She has worked as a housing planner for over a decade, both in Vancouver and previously in Edmonton.

 

Some of the key work that she has been involved in to date includes developing enhanced tenant protection policies and below-market rental housing land use policies under the Broadway Plan, a key plan to densify an area of Vancouver around transit expansion; the Housing Vancouver Strategy focused on shifting the city's development stream toward rental housing affordable to local incomes and creation of the Vancouver Affordable Housing Endowment Fund, a portfolio of city-owned sites with a mandate to preserve and grow affordable housing in a sustainable way for current and future residents.
